Free and Open Source Software

This workshop will be very modular and can be changed according to your wishes, still a laptop/netbook would be of great help for this workshop.

Here are the default themes we will talk about:

- What are the Free Software and the Open Source movements? This would be an introduction to these movements, answering questions as: When it started? Who? Why? and how are these movements today.

- Why women are missing in the Free Software field? In this part, we will discuss about why there isn’t many women involved in the Free Software and Open Source movements.

- Different Free software for different possibilities. Here we will look at different Free Software that could fit the needs of the people present, that could be the only activity if people wish so.

- Help for installing your Free system. During and after the workshop if necessary.

Some Linux/BSD/etc. livecds will be available. (they allow to test Free Software without installing them)
